Royal Caribbean hosted two employee summits in 2019 - Spark, for global HR employees, and Ignite, for leadership team members. Cohesive was engaged to provide event branding, presentation materials, swag design, handouts, and online elements like a microsite and email campaigns. Attendee engagement was high and Royal Caribbean received great feedback on the themes and overall execution of the events.
Our first task was to create a brand that evoked playfulness and the fun of Royal Caribbean, while having enough extensibility to brand a week's worth of materials. Digitally, we created a custom Powerpoint template for speakers to use in their materials, creating a seamless attendee experience. We also created a microsite for participants to download materials after the event. The biggest physical Spark item was a workbook handed out to each participant. We designed a 32 page booklet packed full of activities and discussion prompts for each of the five days attendees gathered. Cohesive helped create a custom set of discussion cards, filled with conversation topics and themed in the Spark colors. In addition, we designed a wide range of ancillary swag materials, including water bottles, name tags, wireless chargers—even custom wrapping paper for parting gifts—to help leave a lasting impression for guests after they went back to their jobs.
